Prizes

When the tradition of racing around Barbados first began over a hundred years ago, we are told that a barrel of Mount Gay Rum was awarded for the slowest boat. Schooners battled for the dubious "honour" of last place, spending days at sea to receive their reward. Today however things have changed. There are no prizes for coming last.

Numerous Prizes will be awarded for in each class overall for the  Mount Gay Round Barbados race, The Coastal Racing Series and The Ocean Passage Race to Antigua.
